
DenizBank presents ‘ŞifreTek’, a device that generates unique and single-use codes to provide higher security for the transactions made by all customers of @çıkDeniz Internet Branch.
In addition to the user’s name, e-password and @çıkDeniz code you need to gain access to @çıkDeniz Internet Branch, ‘ŞifreTek’ provides a two-stage security level for money order and other transactions you would make through @çıkDeniz.
Furthermore, ‘ŞifreTek Mobile’, an application which can be installed in Java-compatible cell phones and running on said phones to generate single-use codes, is now available.
What are the advantages of ŞifreTek and ŞifreTek Mobile?
- They are dynamic, so that they can generate unique, new and single-use codes.
- Neither you nor a different ŞifreTek/ŞifreTek Mobile user can reuse any of the codes generated by the system.
- You can gain access to the Internet Branch from any point at your discretion in a secure way.
- They are easy to carry.
How to apply for ‘ŞifreTek’ or ‘ŞifreTek Mobile’?
If you are a retail customer holding an ATM or credit card issued by DenizBank, you can apply for ŞifreTek or ŞifreTek Mobile through our Internet Branch, Contact Center or any branch. If you are customer not holding any of said cards, a corporate customer or a joint account holder, you can apply only through our branches. ŞifreTek is delivered against a symbolic fee.
What choices are available to use ŞifreTek and ŞifreTek Mobile?
The choices described below are available to you to use ŞifreTek or ŞifreTek Mobile in order to gain access to the @çıkDeniz Internet Branch:
- Only to gain access to @çıkDeniz.
- Only to money transfers.
- Only when the total value of funds transferred in a day exceeds a limit pre-determined by myself.
- I require the choice I selected above to be operable at the time intervals to be pre-determined by myself.
Can both ŞifreTek and ŞifreTek Mobile be used at the same time?
ŞifreTek and ŞifreTek Mobile cannot be used together for the same account.
Delivery method: ŞifreTek will be sent to you by courier service within 7 business days after receiving your application, and be delivered by said service only to you after checking your identity.
What should I do to activate ŞifreTek?
After taking delivery of ŞifreTek, you need to activate* the device through the @çıkDeniz Internet Branch.

How can I generate codes through ŞifreTek?
Pull the device’s cover with the ŞifreTek logo on it to left/right to uncover its display. A six-digit single-use code will appear on the display. You can use the code now.
How to install ŞifreTek Mobile? Adjust the GPRS settings of your cell phone. After processing your application, DenizBank will send the address link needed for installation to the number of your cell phone as registered in our system by SMS. After receiving the short message in question, please click on said address link or enter said address to install the application in your cell phone’s “Applications” menu.
As in ŞifreTek, ŞifreTek Mobile should be activated through the @çıkDeniz Internet Branch.
How to generate codes through ŞifreTek Mobile?
- Select the ŞifreTek application in your cell phone.
- Select the “Şifre Üret” (Generate Code) command.
- A six-digit single-use code will appear on the display of your cell phone. You can use the code now.
Can ŞifreTek Mobile be used in all brands of cell phones and with all GSM operator networks?
ŞifreTek Mobile can be used with all GSM operator networks, but your cell phone should be supporting Java*.
